Day 29 - Basildon Home League

Once a year, for the last 7 years, I have the pleasure of leading the Home League (ladies meeting) at Basildon Salvation Army and today (Monday) was no exception.  Elsie, the Home League Secretary, knew my Granma Partridge from years and years ago so there is an interesting link there between Elsie & I. Of course, it's sad to hear of some of the ladies I've known over the last 7 year now being house-bound or in hospital and even passed away but today it was a joy to welcome 'Chleo' the youngest member of the Home League at 5 months. Chleo was accompanied by her Grandma Ann and Grandad David.  A little one in the midst always brightens everyone's day, especially when Dave stood her on the floor and she started to dance just like her mother Lorna.

Basildon have a new Officer (minister) Heather Sheldon and she has already won the hearts of those who attend, which is wonderful to see and hear.
