Day 12 - laughter is the best medicine

After a tiring but enjoyable week it was good to go for a meal with Karen or ‘one of your menopausal friends’ as my son calls my friends!! However,  this evening Karen did live up to Karl’s expectations  - we arrived at the Harvester (our regular) were shown to our table, ordered our food and went to the salad bar – I got my salad and made my way back to our table only to discover that Karen wasn’t with me!! No – where was Karen?  wandering around the other side of the restaurant having got lost!! I had to go and fetch her and bring her back J then Karen had an attack of hot flushes and was extremely thirsty she finished her drink and most of mine J

On my arrival home Karl entertained me with his description of various people he had dealt with that day at work – the best was “she looked as though she had looked at herself in the back of the spoon, the wind changed and her face stayed that way”

Now off to bed feeling tired and aching from laughing too much..

To finish - one of my favourite photos of Karl aged about 5 in Bangladesh
